Its rear that I see tanks on ebay being sold in my area. I have been watching it for a while, 2 hrs or so left.

55 gallon tank, stand, lights, coral, filters, etc...... available.

Only at 83. Good deal i think.

Question it was used for saltwater. Can a slatwater be converted back to a Freshwater?

Imagine some elbow grease will be involved.
What do you guys think? :dunno:

Yes with plenty of elbow grease, good luck.

Yea, and lot's of hot water. Good luck and hope you win the item. :) It really is a good deal, let's just hope the $ doesn't increase...

You can use bleach but you have to really rinse the tank out afterwards.

Nothing wrong with using a bleach solution as long as it's weak... 19 parts water and 1 part bleach is even used to remove snails from live plants, and if it's good enough for live plants, then I'm sure it'll do for your tank. Just be sure to rinse with a lot of water after that, and I mean a LOT!

OFF TOPIC.................

CANARSIE, WHERE DID YOU MANAGE TO GET THE SQUARE AND COMPASS LOGO? I WANT ONE. I AM GOING THROUGH MY 3RD NEXT MONTH.

JONI :hyper:

Be careful using hot water. I cracked a 10 gallon tank tank way; from one end to the next on the rear panel of glass. I have found that vinegar works well, and it is very easy to rinse away.

we're using an ex SW filter and UV steriliser on our FW tank.

I set it up and parred lots of hot water throught them - I left them going over night and then swapped the water again... left for a few hours and then tasted the water. - it wasn't even slighty salty, so slapped the system on the FW.

I'd do the same in your case but i'd use the tank rather than a bucket. and scrub the tank well...

a little salt will not do any harm.
