The False Flying Fox has left the building! er... tank. He fought with the krib too much. now it's peaceful...

because the tank is under the rule... of... The queen!

And the better piccy

She demanded to be let free, and she was :D

And then, it's not a great pic. The sad story of the Glow-lite tetra. He has survived more than you can Imagine.
Life 1: an uncycled 5 gallon with 4 other glowlites and 3 danios.

The danios, as you;'d imagine, harassed and killed 2 glowlites from stress. when I left over fall break, I came back and everything had died. A bad start in fish keeping. So I let the tank alone for 3 weeks, and, when I pulled the net out 3 weeks later, not everything HAD died. Alive, in the net, was my glow lite. 3 weeks without food.

Life 2: A sad life in a bug carrier for 2 years, sometimes not getting water changes for 2 weeks.

Life 3: I had a dream about fish, and got a 10 gallon. Uncycled. Once again, a foolish newbie with no reasearch, I got a dragon goby, some neons, and other things. Betta and my first FFF. Eventually the neons die, I get cardinals, the cardinals die. Cycling ends. I then got 4 glowlites. He has friends again

Life 4: I got the 38 and set it up. Bad idea to put fish in, as a temperature shock killed the dragon goby, killed the FFF, 2 glow lites, and 1 neon.

Life 5: back in the10 while the 38 cycles with Giant danios. He lives with a senegal who eventually ate everything "tetra" but him more feeders.

Life 6: in the 38 with the senegal who had eaten an African butterfly by now

Life 7: still a dangerous life, living with an ABF. But no harm, yet. He has this cool trick where he zooms and does a circle loop, ends up behind the predator to see him, and then runs away.

So yeah. Not the best of living, but the hardiest fish in the history of TFF as far as I'm concerned to have survived all that. Give it up for him!

And I still don't consider myself an experinced fish keeper, but at least I'm educated now. His story is sad. He really deserves his own shoal to command.

He's a brave little soldier!!! :#
I love the picture of your Queen Arabesque. I brought one last week but he doesn't venture out that much!

that's not him venturing out

That's him stuck in a bag then stuck in a net

and it seems the L260 has found a home in a corner of the tank :)

Indeed he is tough, and the Queen gives you a royal welcome for having the pleasure of looking

awwwwwww. Is that all the love the queen gets?

she's now found a cave, BTW. I hate how well these guys hide... but I bet it'll come out for veggie waffers :hyper:

I kinda laugh at people who complain about their plecos hiding because my BN pleco hardly ever is in his cave but rather swiming around or on his drift wood so I never have to worry about that.

The queen is visible in front of the cave at all times for me. She found a cave, dug, and then took the front.

Maybe more pics, if some people decided to comment.

I bought a Queen (Queenie) about three months ago, at first she hid most of the time however as she has settled in more she is far more visible now. I have changed the tank around to give more and better caves and hiding spaces so maybe she felt more comfortable after this. I must take a new picture of her!!!

ooooohhh. Can't wait to see.

almost bought an addonis pleco instead, and those things gett to a whopping 2 to 3 feet!
