As anyone with a Trigon tank knows the standard lights and rubbish......i have had a new hood made for the tank that is a very simple "false" hood that sits 20mm higher than standard. Underneath this you can then do what you want with the lights as they no longer need to fit the standard lid sections.
I have swapped the 2 39w tubes for 2 T5 39w, slid them forward.....pushed the 2 15w standards back and can now fit 2 more 39w T5s in (or maybe 2 55w T5 compacts.......theres still room for my neon moon tubes as well and if i wanted i could dump the standard 15w tubes for 2 larger t5 units.........basically you do what you like!
So.......is anyone interested in a new hood as the guy that has made it said he can now make more pretty easy. Anyone interested or want some pics (its not complete yet) then drop me an email mark@tiggs.co.uk
