Was thinking about a tight school, but do I have room?
and which species would even go well with my current species?
What are your favorite smaller (but not too small) schooling fish?

Any ideas of what you would do if you were me... like maybe skipping getting a small school all together?

473L / 125g Tank inhabitants:
4 Angelfish
2 gourami (female; 1 gold, 1 opaline)
12 Angelicus botia (polka dot loach)
8 black kuhli loaches
4 plecos (2 bristlenose, 2 rubberlip)
1 featherfin catfish

1 pictus catfish (might rehome.. hes really shy and wont leave his little spot)
*Fully planted, all-natural, sand, driftwood, rock and wood cave areas, and tons of hiding spots.

Thanks so much for all your help and opinions!!
This forums has helped myself, and my fish over the last year!

Might get away with a small school of Cardinal Tetra.

Rummy nose tetra would be a good shout. They don't get too big and they shole really well!

But the problem with small tetra is your angels and gourami will see them as food. It's ok when they get a bit bigger, so if your going to get some, try getting bigger ones :good:

I kept rummies with my discus and angel and some of the smaller ones mysteriously disappeared. But all the bigger ones survived.

cardinals seems risky... but I do like the rummy noses.
How about harlequin rasbora?
how big do they need to be?
My lfs can order fish for me if he doesnt have ones big enough.

if the smaller ones wont be happy in this setup and if it will cause problems I can always just ditch the idea since I might not have enough room for a large enough school..?..

Harlequins would be fine. I'm not sure how big they get to be honest. Bit your tank should have plenty of room for at least a 10 strong shole.

What about red eye tetra? They don't get too big and your other fish won't see them as food either.

Harlequins would be best bet, they are deep in body so unlikely to get eaten, fast and shoal tightly and get to a better size to not be eaten... and look great!
