Tiger Shovelnose

i got a tiger shovelnose, come with a 6 by 3 by 3ft tank.

its only 17" still alot to grow
i wasnt given no food for it, so i went out and brought some king prawns.

put the prawns in and he didnt even move, i no they dont eat every day.

but what other foods in like tescos can i get him?

and better raw or cooked?

I had one years ago which ate anything I put in the tank. Live or dead, thawed or frozen

Raw prawns are better for nutrition

I'm not sure on other things from supermarkets try putting the shrimp in some garlic juice is all I can think of

I am always intrigued by peoples long terms plans for these fish, what are yours?

u can feed it frozen chicken , and if it hasn't eaten dead foods be4 so try live food (if chicken doesnt work)

my friend feeds his frozen ox heart and chicken breasts and live feeder convicts

I'm planning on either putting mine in the top tier of my koi pond(nothing but mosquito guppies and goldfish in that pool) or buying like a 350 gal tank to keep him and some other massive fish I may obtain... although a 400gal catfish tank is starting to sound pretty cool.

Hopefully when he hits 4 ft. He'll be munching on the raccoon's that keep trying to go fishing in our koi pond.

Actually, the OP never replied to this thread but yes I see this other persons reply now.

Although judging by their recent post in the pleco section I have my concerns.
