Tiger Lotus Lilys? Advice

I'm not really an aquatic plant keeper other than Vallis!! lol

I hgot two bulbs off ebay with roots and a couple of shoots coming out of each , I've planted them last night and hopefully they will grow well

Am I deluding myself that they will grow or are they as simple as that?

I got two bulbs from ebay a few weeks ago. maybe from the same person. i was told not to plant the bulb. but to just rest it on the sand and it will root its self. its growing very nice at the moment.

I would bury half (the root side) in the substrate and it will then grow. It can often get 'lost' if not 'secured' slightly.

You will be told that they rot but I can assure you they won't.

My plecs tend to bury them completely and they are still fine as you can see from the right hand signature pic.

And my cray tends to dig them up, but they survive both ways...

they look great, fingers crossed mine will grow to similar standards
