they dont really get along, right? i have 7 barbs in a 29 gallon tank n i just put 2 cory cats n the tigers picked at them! n they also picked on my 2 guppys...but i knew that would happen. but attacking the cats? some1 told me that they get along but obiously not!

Tiger barbs are definitely not the best tankmates for most tropicals. They tend to be very nippy and will definitly be a problem for your guppies. Any slow moving fish (such as corys) will be subject to their harassment.

Chinese algae eaters are fast moving fish so the barbs shouldn't bother them but are another problem in themselves. They are really bad fish and will eventually be the worst ones in the tank. They become very aggressive as they get older and will try to suck the slime coat off slow moving fish and suck the eyes out of corys. Please see the mods edit at the bottom of this profile on them.

the barbs r alone with the 2 algae eaters.so r they safe? my other fish are in a 10gallon tank so they r ok.

They should be fine for now but as I mentioned, the CAEs can get really aggressive as the get older and bigger.
