Tiger Barbs In This Set Up

Will tiger barbs or Green barbs work in this set up?

1 Guppy
1 Sailfin Molly
10 Neon Tetras
2 Plecs
5 Rhombo Barbs
1 Dwarf Gourami
8 Bleeding Blue Tetras
10 Leopard Danios

300 litre 75 Gallon 4 foot tank

i dont see why not providing you get enough of them . tiger barbs get a bad rap imo altho it is how they are often kept that causes the nipping/aggression problems. kept in a group of 10 or more any bickering tends to stay within the group and they are much better behaved

you may do well to rehome the guppy tho

I had 9 and this was a nice size group. Very active fish... Your tank may be too 'active' with these and the danio's though. You could look at pentazona/melon barbs as an alternative.

The Gourami & guppy will be toast, not to mention Neon Tetras & Mollys are not ideal tankmates either. Mollys & Guppys are very socialable fish and you should instead get more of those (1male per 2-3females for mixed gender groups or 3 females min for all-female group or 3-5 males min for all-male group etc) if you want more fish.

On a cosmetic level i would also not add them as the tank already has a lot mid level dwelling fish and if you added the barbs you would be just crowding that zone even more. Just my humble opinion .

yh but theres only 10 and the tank is big so looks empty

Hatchets are good for top dwellers, but might not be suited with your other fish so probably best avoided. If you wanted some barbs of some sort then look at pentazon/melon barbs. Similar marking to tigers, but less radged in the head.
