Tiger Barbs And Jack Dempseys?

i have 4 jack dempseys and a green terror, today i went to the lfs and the guy told me i couldnt put tiger barbs together with jack or any other agressive fish is this bullSh*t true? ive seen alot of tanks with these fish together and they seem fine to me or are my tigers special?

Tiger barbs may work for a while in your setup but before long they will be no doubt be killed,

If you think its Bullsh*t then you obviously don't know a lot about the fish you keep

A good amount of fish keeping comes from personal experience. Most JDs will kill the barbs when they get larger, however there is always an exception, congrats on your exception. No reason for either of you clowns to get antsy.

And fishman, I'm old enough to know what i'm talking about, My post may not have come across polite but I don't think it was unfair given your initial comments.

At the end of the day fishman you can try and keep whatever tankmates you like but I know JDs and GTs and in the vast majority of cases, once these fish mature, TBs are just gonna get killed.
