For those of you interested in keeping and possibly breeding killis, I recommend joining the AKA or BKA. The small fee is more than worth it for the network of knowledge you gain access to, plus buying fish/eggs is fairly cheap for members. Rarely do you see pairs for more than $12, and there are a ton around $8. Plus once you start breeding you can trade pairs/eggs.
Plus I thought I'd share my great personal experience: as soon as I was listed as a new member in the Monthly Newsletter, a member from my same town called me and offered to set me up with a free pair of E. dageti and help me start up a whiteworm culture.
I'm not saying that you'll definitely get free fish, but the members are very helpful! And if you're like me and think killis are gorgeous, but can't find any fish or information locally, then AKA is the way to go
