Hi!

As said, I have Three - Spot Gouramis (11) and Pearl Gouramis (6) and I don't know how to distinguish male from female. Also, from my readings, males fight with each other, and if I find out that most of my gouramis are males, I don't want them to kill themselves! I like them so much!

I just want some tips on how to determine gouramis' gender.. and pictures of the parts maybe..I'm a novice at gouramis...hehe..

Thanks for your responses! :)

Im not sure if its too small, tho it is a massive amount of gouramis... if you have that many 3spots, unless most are males, u should be ok aggression wise i think...

They're massive?! Wah.. But mine are just about 1" or so.. I still don't get how to distinguish genders..sorry guys..

I'm just new to the hobby...hehe...Does it have to do anything with age? Maybe it takes time to see the difference in their sexes or something..

lmao i meant its a massive amout of them... normally u hear of smaller groups or them being kept alone, but i think if it is enough room then its a great idea. They generally grow to 5 inches, and pretty fast too.

Woah!!! 5 inches?!? I only saw 3 inches when I was searching for them!! Thanks for the info!! You're a pal!!
