Hi every one,

I am facing a serious issue. I bought 1 female gourami because I already had a Male gourami. And then when i came home only I realized that the FEMALE IS SMALLER THAN THE MALE GOURAMI. And also the male started to attack the female gourami. Plus the female's tummy is abit like roundish and Im wandering whether the female is ready to pop the eggs in order for the male to do the rest. Really confused. Advice would be really appreciated. :)

Id definitely get at least another female just so he doesn't bother the 1 all the time, but other than that gourami's make bubble nests before they spawn

Agree it's best to have 2-3 females to a male three-spot.
Also have plenty of hiding spots.
As well how large is your tank? They are territorial.
As for the girl plumping out, that is natural. And in time the girls generally get a little bigger than the boys.
