Have you kept them or know about them?

If I am able to arrange it, I will be keeping them with Peacock Gudgeons and Blue-eyed Forktails. I am in a frenzy over it! My water is fine; my Blue-eyes are breeding.if they had it for a month, there are no diseases, make sure your water conditions match. i might be getting dwarf neon rainbows..
i was told all raimbows like to be in hard water.
Thanks for the link!Yes, they are nice fish especially when the males open up their fins competing against one another just like the Bettas fish.
They are from the soft to slightly hard water.
They have very small mouth and need fine food and they are very peaceful.

Breeding Iriatherina werneri | Tropical Fish Hobbyist Magazine
Beautiful and graceful, Iriatherina werneri isn't the easiest fish species to spawn. A master aquarist shares his advice for breeding rainbowfish.www.tfhmagazine.com
Thanks for the link!
I want them even more now as they fit the parameters and temperament of the fish I plan to house them with. They are so graceful and delicate and mild.
Oh my!!!
What to do what to do what to do?
I'm moving in a month or so, haven't the large tank yet, and have a WCMM project, Peacock Gudgeons in QT fresh from the LFS, and fry I need to grow out.
Yikes.
Thanks!Peacock gudgeons aren't a problem, but other bigger gudgeons will eat small rainbowfish.
Get the threadfins but quarantine them so you don't introduce anything into the furcatus tank.
Iriatherina produce much smaller eggs than P. furcatus and the fry are really small and need green water and infusoria for the first 2-3 weeks.
Get a group of 10+ fish and try to have similar numbers of males and females. Males have the long fins and colour, females have short fins and not colour in the fins. Young males look like females until they mature.
