thoughts on how long an anubias "base" will remain green, even though the plant regularly gets grazed???

This originally was a beautiful flowing anubias nana, but "probably" the silver dollar in this tank, continues to graze on it, yet the nub still remains vibrant green... at some point the silver dollar will get moved... but I figured pretty quickly the plant would die, but it seems to like this tank, as it's been a green nub for 6-8 months... there were actually 2 different plants zip tied to this spider wood, and they both look very alive...

It should come back, though you may want to move it up a little higher in the tank for a bit. I'm guessing it's under constant attack, and soon enough it'll be a spent force. Once that remaining part gets soft, it will die, or more likely, be eaten by its enemy.

Can you move it to a safer tank?
