Im fully decided now on stocking my new 4ft tank with a pair or more likely a group of Thorichthys. probably elliotti but depends on what i can get when i come round to stocking it and i would ideally like to add a large group of glowlight danios as i already have 11 in a smaller tank and would like to give them a larger home if i can. i dont want to add the danios if an adult ellioti will eat them. i know alot of people keep livebearers with central americans so i wonder what size the fry can get to before they stop becoming food

Most likely they'll eat the danios one by one. That's one of the benefits of keeping livebearers, a constant source of live food. Few fry will survive in a tank of C/A cichlids.

Glowlights would be eaten by an adult elliotti.

Thats the respionse i was hoping i wouldnt get. nevermind. thanks for the advice

My Aureus/Ellioti whatever it is has devoured 7 Corydoras and 4 Black Ruby Barbs, only had him for 3 weeks, hes 5", i actually seen him doing it so was deffo him.
