Thank you! I was sat for ages trying to get the best pics I could. You still get fry, just not the same type as me...

Cheers,
Alessa!

omg they r soooooooo awesome!!!!!!! i love every single one..i want the 5th and 6th picture! omggg :) aha cant wait to see those babies all grown up! did u raise those male guppies?

Three of them, yes. 1 of them I bought. All the females are what I have raised myself though.

Cheers,
Alessa!

The snakeskin male with the red tail looks like he might have fin rot.. better check!

No he doesn't, It's his natural tail shape. I checked as soon as I saw it and it's never changed. No white or black lining and none of the other fish have caught anything. Never got any smaller or bigger, except when he was growing up, so I'm very sure it's his normal tail shape.

Cheers,
Alessa!

You are right Alessa. It can take an awful long time to get a decent picture. I have lots of pictures of my own fish, but I will not begin to try to tell people that those pictures were easy to get. You have done a fine job there.

Unfortunately I recently had an unknown disease which has wiped out every fish in that tank except the 3 male cory's, 2 females, 3 males and my male swordtail. Out of all the fish in those pictures only 9 fish are still alive.
All the babies plus the 4 baby mollies I had, All gone.
If these last few die out, I might consider cleaning the whole thing out and re-cycling it. Then I might get some rams or something that's not livebearers, that I can breed and re-stock the LFS with.

Cheers,
Alessa!

oh man that same thing happened to me my whole tank had ick and i had to clean the tank everyday i cudnt find the medicine for it..all 10 of my baby platies died and 2 platys and 3 guppies and a balloon molly died except for the female guppy i raised myself :) shes a champ and i hope it doesnt happen to either one of us again..2 or three of theb guppy frys had a white color on them(not ick) and they all r acting rlly strange so i guess its not albino like i was hoping but i still have 17 more fry left :) 3 have gotten big and lots of color on em

Yeah I've had this happen once before and at the time I was raising 4 baby corys. It wiped them and their mother out. The one fish I have which has survived both times and is still going strong is my very last surviving baby from Midnight's last drop before she died. Midnight was one of my faves and she died during a complicated birth, The female in question is her last surviving fry. I have named her misty because her tail is a grey colour. She's a real champ!

Cheers,
Alessa!

AWWW i remember ur midnight! gorgouss thing :)..this last surviving female ive raised was born in february and her mom died 3 days after her birth..and she is colorless..with little specks of black here and there i cant wait to raise a male to see how the dad looked like :) cant wait..btw some of my fry r getting more colors than the other ones but they all have color does that mean the one with more colors r males ??

Alessa, I have had an occasional problem with fish deaths and no discernible disease present. What I have always tried, when confronted with that, is to do a massive water change and try a change in feeding. Often I have seen the fish restored to vibrant good health with no idea about what it was that actually helped. I offer this as a mere suggestion of a course of action. What it really means is that I had no idea what the problem was but figured that new water and a new diet couldn't hurt and might help. The fact that my fish recovered and thrived after this action might just be coincidence or I might have headed off a real problem that was going undetected.
