I can't see how someone could EVER put a living thing in that tiny little cup to live there life. There's no room for the fish to even move around :(

Karma will get them sooner or later :)

awe, DISGUSTING!!!

i have a friend who keeps her betta in something similar, not even the plant or the gravel just a tall vase about 4" in diameter. i had a big discussion with her about this, but she insisted that her betta is fine, that every week or two she just drains the water out and fills her "other vase" with clean water and dumps the betta in the new water. no water conditioner, and says she feeds it when ever she remembers.

i implored her to change her ways, she kept saying she's had it for over a year like this with no problems. i said there's a difference between Surviving and Thriving.

arrrrrgh, some people......now she moved away, or I would have given her a little tank.

i cant see a size measurment so it could be like 5-10 gal
but unlikely so yuk

That really is awful complaining to ebay is the thing to do imo. He obviously does not care he's just out to make money :(

it looks to me like s/he's been to a factory outlet store and bought a job lot of cheap and nasty vases from the interior design section! not for fishies me thinks...

see these type of things all the time, always makes me sad :(

Glad you commented, Bronzecat - just as well they won't let me comment on Ebay.
electric yellow is right - it looks like a drinking glass.

thats just one litre of water?

my beer glass is bigger than that!!!!

That is awful, and its terrible how bettas get treated.
For example in pets at home the other day i witnessed 3 males in one tank, a male shredded by guppies, a male shredded by neons and afew males that looked almost dead on the bottom of tanks. However when i went to buy one of these fish , the woman behind the counter told me i could not have it. Firstly because my tank was not dirty enough as i had just purchased it and bettas like to live in mud and i must first chuck in some garen soil, and secondly because my tank did not have an inbuilt light therfore the fish will die.
Needless to say i will not be returning and have put in a complaint although it will proberbly be egnored!

Slightly off topic there but this kind of thing annoys me so much :grr:
