There are several species of Otto, that is one. They have the same general body shape s CAE's but are differently marked, grow to a fraction of the size and are harmless.

I think LL meant "loosely speaking"

They are clearly nothing like goldfish for instance or say stingrays. So in that respect they somewhat resemble CAE's
