We are in the middle of getting a new summer house. When we lifted the old one we found that underneath. It was one of our big goldfish from the pond. He would've been really old. :byebye:

A heron!!! Not round here. We have lost fish to cats before. No foxes round here either.

 That was not nice!! Cats piss me off too. (As much as I love them).
Same kind of thing happened to me at my dads house, but we saw the cat running off with a mirror carp worth £50+.
That was even more annoying when you cant catch the bloody cat to rescue the pooh fishie!

IT was a few years ago when we got a knock at the door. Our neighbour broke the news to us a cat had ran off with one of our fishes. It was sick, there was a long trail of blood up the street. It's annoying, there shouldnt be cats on our property!
My my mum likes to chuck a bucket of water over them, seems to work as they don't come back in a hurry!

you shouldnt do cruel things like that to them. It is their natural instinct to eatand hunt fish. If you dont want them on your property put a gate up.

The problem seems to be your neighbors not knowing how to care for their pets. My neighbor has a cat that they let run loose, unsupervised. My yard is fenced in, 3 1/2', 4' chain link, as well as 6' of wooden fence along one side. I've seen the cat flip the 6' wooden fence, he comes in to play with my terrier. Gates & fences are no barrier to cats, they like to climb. I guess some people don't care if their pets get flattened out by a car.

There was a big issue a few weeks back in Wisconsin, they were considering letting people shoot feral cats. Seems some areas are being overrun. You should never introduce non-native animals into the wild, cats, dogs, fish, whatever. You risk causing major environmental problems. Sometimes the offenders need to be eliminated.
