This Is Awful - For Sale Online Now

its sick think of how much strss that noise would eb for the fish and having pple lean on the tank ald all that stuff verry sad that people whould acually buy one

That is extremely sick and I think people should flood their contact e-mail with complaints

How many fish actually end up going down the toilet.

I dont think the shape is an issue, but the size definatly.

Could you use if for a betta?

i've seen this before and didn't realise it was that small, who would pay that much money for it anyway? but i totally agree it will stress the fish and should be banned but at least it has a filter :/

Noshy - yes it would be large enough for a betta, but would you really put a betta in there?? That's a 450 dollar betta tank!!! Imagine too the lights going off and on all day - or being in the complete dark while people are at work...
The kicker is for sure the 7 GOLDFISH pictured in it. I agree with emailing the company!!

what about the complete change of chlorinated water every time the thing is flushed and refilled? This is a dreadful invention bordering on animal cruelty IMHO.

Actually this is not a new idea, in the Victorian times public toilets had glass water cysterns that contained coldwater fish and whilst the water level did drop it didn't empty so the fish had constant topping up.

Not nice but not a new idea unfortunately.

it appears to be 'seperate' from the toilet, so it wouldnt empty and refill everytime u flushed the toilet. which is why its an odd shape cos it has to fit round the flushing mechanism.

i wouldnt buy one

Looks awful purely from an aesthetic point of view.

I'd be most worried about airborne contamination from cleaning products used in the bathroom.

That aside, it remains something aimed at people at people looking for a "conversation piece" rather than those genuinely interested in keeping fish in as near to natural environment.

I also hate glass coffee table fish tanks - again designed for those people looking for novelty rather than fostering a genuine interest in keeping fish and welfare.

I was talking to a relative a couple of weeks back and he mentioned this toilet tank. His friend has one, the tank is indeed separate from the toilet.

 Sorry, this one get's me everytime! What's the point? I can't see it while I'm in the bathroom anyways, unless eyes grow out of the back of my head. :grr: Only men can really see it, since they pee standing up. :X Just thought about bad aiming. Poor fish, guys better be careful and put some cheerios in the toilet bowl to work on their aim. There are so many places I could go with this thread...

This is a dirty, bad, bad thread.

llj

I think it's cool! *dodges bullets* I'd buy one if it was less than $50. Makes a nice conversation piece. :D

So, when you have parties, you take everybody to the bathroom to start a conversation?
