This Is Awful - For Sale Online Now

I doubt a whole lot of fish would like it in there. The only human interaction they'll get is someone mooning them before .. you know.

With the noise issue. I don't think the problem is about people making noise wether in the bedroom, lounge or bathroom, but I bet the volume in decibels of the toilet flushing is a lot more than most people put there telly or Stereo at. :music:

Also temperatures in bathrooms are so variable due to people having showers (The temp goes up) extractor fan turned on (Temp goes down).

John Prescott on the toilet with his back against the tank (Temp rockets, and a layer of slime covering front of tank making it impossible to see the fish, and rendering the tank useless). :big_boss:

And what about the 'natural smells' if you know what I mean, would that upset the fish.

probably the most vulgar thing i've ever seen. I mean (fish well being aside) its horrible. Can't imagine cleaning the tank would be too nice either...

At least if the fish die you don't have far to go to put them somewhere...

Just kidding.. don't flame me.

I think people are over-reacting a bit. it's a small tank (which some people have for bettas etc), and they are recommending you find appropriate fish. Maybe not everyones cup of tea, and not mine either, but calm down.

When they advertise tango a big flabby orange man comes up and slaps you in the face. FYI, that doesn't actually happen. The seven goldfish is an advert too. Although incorrect, they do recommend something else. Thats advertising. The colouring department doesn't always understand everything. Its not right, but thats the way it is.

Everyone has fairly strong opinions on this, glad I posted it! I see both sides I will admit that! It does seem a little bizarre to stick that in your bathroom and there's gotta be some contamination getting in there...
Euw!

Smaller fish are obviously recommended. The experts at your local pet or fish store can provide additional advice and suggestions on how to maximize the appeal of your Fish 'n Flush aquarium.

These acrylic tanks are fully functional, impact resistant and stronger than china. They are completely separate from the toilet tank and are designed to fit directly against the companion tank reservoir.

Read the whole thing before reacting, guys ;)

As for the noise issue: How long and often do people go and use the bathroom, compared to bedrooms? How many of you play music in your bedrooms or watch tv in your living room? The bathroom is possibly the quietest part of the house

The size is ok for a betta and other nano fish. My only complaint is the price :grr:

my thoughts exactly, it say's it's not suitable for anything and to take expert advice.... what more can you ask for really?!?!

yeah it's a novelty gimmicky kind of thing and not to my taste, but it is suitable for some fish, it's not linked to the toilet so isn't constantly filled up. if an aquarium is well laid out they can get enough interaction and interest without any need for human contact (aside from feeding and maintenance).

 Sorry, this one get's me everytime! What's the point? I can't see it while I'm in the bathroom anyways, unless eyes grow out of the back of my head. :grr: Only men can really see it, since they pee standing up. :X Just thought about bad aiming. Poor fish, guys better be careful and put some cheerios in the toilet bowl to work on their aim. There are so many places I could go with this thread...

This is a dirty, bad, bad thread.

You'll be surprised, not everybody in the world sits on the toilet in what us westerners call the "normal" way...

When i was in India i kept seeing foot prints on the toilets seats and when i asked one of my Indian friends why it turns out a lot of people squat on the seat rather than sit on it. One of my friends visits China a lot, and apparently they sit on the seat but facing the other way to us. This tank would be perfect in China!

Completly unrelated to the tank you mentioned using a cheerio to help aim... In the toilets at Amsterdam airport there is fly painted onto all the Urinals to help us blokes out!

I don't care for the looks of it. However, even if there was an appropriate sized fish for it, my concern would be fluctuating water temps. I understand that the water in the fish tank part is not flushed and re-filled, but it is right next to the fish's tank water. When room temp water is flushed, sometimes quite cold water comes in to replace it. This could suck a few degrees out of the fish's water, being only seperated by a piece of plastic.

 youd be ####ed if you wanted to spray some glade air freshner after a dump in the bog!!
