can you put fake house hold plants in fish tanks? you know thoses ones that you have in your house? can you use them?
 
I wouldn't think you could. You don't know what glues have been used to put the plant together, or what the leaves ect are made of.

It's safer to stick to plants designed for use in aquaria. I wouldn't risk it.
 
same here.. theres usually wire running thru the stalky bits which could poison your tank too,and the glue.... have you seen the marina ( and others) hanging plants?- they hang off the back rim of the tank and look very nice too. tho i have found that the prices that you pay for 1 plastic plants ,would usually cover the cost of a few bunches of live ones,
