Hi all,

I am planning on getting one of those clearseal tank at around 30 liters for a single betta and either shrimp or dwarf cory's, i am only getting the tank and lid but will obviously need a filter/heater and lighting, can anyone suggest a good heater and filter or even a 2 in 1 that i could use in this tank? Also what sort of light would you recommend.

Thanks

I use this heater for my 30ltr;

50w heater with guard

My male VT has a habit of wrapping himself around the heater, so I prefer to use a guard cover.

I would suggest buying a separate heater and filter. Use a filter with a sponge and not those carbon balls in them.

Filters manufactured by 'aqua one' are good, I've never had an issue with that, I think elite filters are good. I would steer away from stingray filters though.

Stingray filters are great provided you scrap the black zeolite sponges it comes with and put normal filter sponge in there instead :good: Still got my origional elite tank running with the stingray filter and it was my first tank (elite 35litre) and is currently my best tank for growing plants in actually, it's in the process of becoming a sorority as we speak :hey:
As for tanks and lights etc you can find some great second hand tanks at car bots etci got my 12gallon which i divided for 4 boys for £10 with a heater and filter but if you want to buy it new there are some very good deals at The range or sadly Pets@home for tanks that come with filters and heaters can be bought fairly cheap, the eliterange are a good reliable one :good:

As said it might be cheaper and more worth your while to get an all-in-one kit. The Elite tanks are really cheap. Pets at Home are doing offers on a lot of smaller tanks at the moment too.
