but idealy with other fish too, what can i house these with in my 80L tank?

tank will be quite hevily planted with alot of hiding places etc.

i really wouldnt put a male & female in the same tank no matter what size it was unless it was divided!!
males prefer to be alone, females can be kept as singles or in groups of 6 or more to minimize bullying.
if you want a female in a community steer clear of fish with bright and/or flowing finns like guppies as they she may mistake it for another betta. Avoid fin nippers like neons.
Rasporas, platies & mollies are ideal as are bottom dwellers like corydoras, these are best in groups of 5/6 .

you could have a nice group of male and female wild bettas. if not then they need to be seprated

Hi,
I'm putting a male and female in the same tank and they will be divided. Even with that, I'm still worried that she'll pick on him. She has no fear (swims right up and does a slight jump at my fingers and he is easily scared and hides!
