Most club events, swaps & auctions run in the fall, with a short break for the holidays, then continue in January, with a long break for the summer. Spring & fall are busy, an event every weekend, often two if you don't mind all the road time.

I do have an outdoor 150 gallon tub I run for the summer, conveniently set up near the grill. Usually breeding platys, or another colorful easy livebearer, pretty much self maintaining if it rains enough.

Actually it's a bit softer & lower pH than my tap, but works out just fine.

I felt the same way. Then my mom surprised me by randomly bringing home a brand new 20 gallon tank with mature filter media and a free air stone. As soon as my platies were moved into it, they started having babies like crazy! Me and the fish just needed a change of pace.

well just spent the last 4 hours stripping down and re-scaping the tank,added a couple of new bags of sand to the tank,hopefully this will rekindle my interest again!!!
