Been into bettas for quite some time, lol. but lately I've been hankering to get back into the livebearer scene. What do you guys think? Was thinking of maybe breeding variatuses (sp?) working with new colorations. IDK maybe... or guppies, I do love guppies. Opinions??? What would be the best to breed?

do you want to breed just for fun? If you do guppies are good, they breed like crazy!!I've heard people say they're weak, but my friend had their fry survuve in an uncycled tank, so they're actually quite hardy. If you want to breed a specfic color, usually get a clear or blonde female, isolate her for a couple of months to make sure she has no sperm, then get the male you want and breed them. Unless you want black guppies, since there are black females. They are great fun, but terribly active and very easy to overfeed since they eat food like the biggest bunch of pigs (I can hear them eating!) but are also friendly and will often "bite" you while doing water changes, and feed out of your hand! IMO guppies are great, but it's still up to you :)

guppies are great to breed ive got my first ever baby fish which are guppies and there soo sweet!
