Ok so im thinking of keeping a pair of kribensis in the hope that they will breed, ive heard its fairly easy to do and really interesting to watch.
The tank im hoping to put them in is a 26 gallon planted tank. The pH is about 7.2, not guna lie the water is very hard. Is that okay?
A possible issue i have is tankmates, i have 2 peacock gobies, 6 dwarf neon rainbowfish and a small group of centromochlus perugiae.
Is a pair going to get on with those? I know when they are mating they get a bit testy but there is plenty of space to get away.
I have little experience with kribs at all so any help is appreciated. Also i know its easier to breed them by getting a group than just a pair but i dont have the room to rehome other unsuccessful kribs.
I read a pinned thread about kribensis but its always nicer actualy asking questions.
Thanks.
Ps this is purely an idea, if its not going to be satisfactory for the fish i really dont intend on doing it. I do it right, or not at all.

So, the tank size and pH sound fine. I don't think that the gobies would go well with the kribs and I can't promise that the others will get along with the kribs either. If you do not have room for unsuccessful kribs, then you don't have room for a breeding pair because they only tolerate their brood for so long.

Ahh yeh dont worry ive taken into consideration the future of any potential broods and have a number of rehoming options. Theyre getting on quite well with the gobies, they only show agression to the rainbows but they are fast enough to get away.
