thinking about my 10 gallon

As Im cycling my (very first) 29 gallon fish tank (fishless), Ive decided pretty much what Im going to put in it (ultimately 5-7 platies, 3 dwarf cories, 2 little otos, 2 black mollies, 2 other mollies), the fact that i have a brand new un-used (not returned to store b/c I decided on the 29 gallon AFTER I purchased the 10 gallon) 10 gallon full set up just waitin to be filled is filling my mind. Im thinking a tank of guppies. But....I dont want fry. Would a 10 gallon filled with say...15 or so male guppies be a feasable effort?
I love those tails- they are so darn pretty!

wow!!! i've been watching a lot of your posts...you sure have the MTS bug!!!! you are also starting a tank for a betta, right?
i am another newbie, so i don't know how many guppies you could have. i am cycling my second tank (10G) and i think i am going to keep guppies/endlers in it. i have 5 tanks total if you count my bettas!!!!good luck!

MTS bug? I guess if that means Im absorbing fish knowledge like a sponge and have a jones for a fish tank everywhere in my house I can fit one..and I talk about my "fishless tank" and share my "new knowledge" with everyone constantly at work, I guess I got it! grin.
Maybe YOU will understand this- my husband sure dosnt- Im sitting here watching my empty cycling tank- the light is on, the gravel is pretty green and blue- the plants are swaying in the current created by the filter- its just beautiful!!!
Yes, Im getting a betta on 12/12. We're going on vacation so we have to wait till we get back- my daughter and I are both getting one. grin. Im thinking it will probably be more than one at some point...

Just reading this post and laughing to myself. I set up my first tank, "38 Gallon," about 1 1/2 months ago, since then I have purchased a 10 gallon, half for me, and half for my fiance who is falling in love with my tank. I have also been looking to get, probably after Christmas, a 55G. Found a tank/stand/hood for under 200! Got it too.
