Thinking About Getting A Pair Of Convicts

Well I'm thinking about setting up a 30 or sa gallon tank wiht a pair of convicts in it, hoping to get some fry to feed to the oscar and polypterus.
does this sound like a plan or a disaster?

I mean, me and my girlfriend like convicts. I just thought it would be fun to get a breeding pair and then feed the fry to my larger fish (oscar, polypterus) once in a while.

we tried with guppies, but we end up having about 1 or 2 fry a week we can give him, max

with convicts, i figure he could get a bit more and he could use the exercise of chasing his food so he doesn't get lazy

how should i go about this?
buy 4-5 convicts and let them pair off or just buy a male and female and they should pair up?

i know cons are easy to breed but i'm not sure about this

Get a male & a female. Just add water, and a small terra cotta pot.

The hardest part will be if you decide you don't want them to breed. As long as the have somewhere to lay the eggs and a male to fertilize you will get babies.
