A 300watt will be fine Just set it up like the old 200watt, to the temp you want it, and watch the temp for a few hours to ensure it levels out where you want it.

It may be like mine....juwel don't give you a powerful enough heater for yourt ank size...my rekord 60 never got over 25 degrees C on it's heater either......i bought an interpet thermostat 50W bigger that was meant for my tank size and its much better......juwel one is now in my QT tank
