Things Needed For Saltwater Tank?

Ok Im new to the saltwater experience the last time i had a saltwater tank was when me and my dad had one and I was 5... I am getting a 55 gal tank for my cichlids wich will free up my 30 gal so I want to turn my 30 gal into a saltwater aquarium. My wife is wanting some nemo fish live rock and aneminies ( i think I spelled that right) But I have a few questions as to what I would need to run this. I have a hang on back filter rated for a 55 gal tank that is being used in my 30 gal tank and was hoping I could use this for my salter water set up or do I need a special saltwater filter? I have a air pump and stone and 100 watt heater what else will I need to get this working in success?

hey thanks that helped alot going to have to talk to wife but ya doesnt look good for the 30 gal being a saltwater tank and I dont have that kind of funds to run one as of now sounds like with the way the article talked so will have to put it off for now.

Not meant to put you off at all, but only to make you aware.

Keeping saltwater fish is extremely rewarding. It is also expensive and can be hard work at the start. It is more than worth the work and the expense though.

Read up some more before you decide either way

O no it didnt put me off on the idea I just think it will have to wait till I have more time to dedicate to it but I will definetley do it might just have to slowly buy the things needed but in the meantime ill do the research.
