Hey everyone

I recently decided to possibly add a few female Bettas to my 10 gallon tank. Currently, 2 BW tetras, 2 zbra danios and one cory reside there. Did not add Bettas yet, maybe in a few weeks.

I added some Java Moss to the tank (19 w light) and...

Wow! The fish really perked up. they seem much happier.

Now I want to add some more plants, what do you recommend?

Again,

10 gallon tank, 19w bulb, not adding CO2 (yet).

Thanks.

P.S. Is my levels of Ni and Nt supposed to go up the plants?

java ferns are good hardy plants, i have 2 in my 10gallon biOrb. maby a bit more moss as they liked it so much.
if you had a bigger tank you could have different plants like amazon sword but in a 10gallon it will grow way to big. do you add plant food and did you use plant ferts because they will make they plants grow with some CO2

No plant fertziler or CO2, I dont think its necc.

The moss has been only 5 days in the tank and its doing very well, it is getting greener and looks like its spreading.

oops i forgot its 10gallons (i forget things very fast)

CO2 wont be needed however plant food should be used and maby some root tablets if your planing on having more plants than just the moss.

o.k. Thanks. people have recommended JBL, tetraplantation for plant food. Any other good brands?

(As Always, don't even think of getting advice from the LFS )

Tropica Plant Nutrition. Best on the market.

Be careful. Add too much fertiliser and you will almost certainly have an algae outbreak.

Off the top of my head, i think it's 1ml per 10 litres of water, once per week, but as said the bottle will give the answer.
