well on saturday i spawned my veiltail's. both blue with red stripes. i figured i got about 40 or so eggs from them, well i didnt. i got over 100!.
both bettas were pet store bettas so didnt no if they would accualy breed.

today i noticed that my 100+ eggs hatched! the male was moving them back to the nest until he saw me then he started to eat them. watched him for a wile and yes he was eating them for sure. so i took him out and dropped the water lvl to 2 inches and installed a small air pump with a gang valve.

now i dont no what to do if all these fry survive. i cant kill them as i would feel horible so i have to raise them all. just need to find 100 friends that want bettas i guess.

here are the parents. sorry about the crapy picture quality on the female. my cameria sucks.

congratulations! But it sounds like your going to have trouble trying to give them new homes... I guess you could start off on the forum in the trading topic. And I hope to hear more about them all soon :)

would post on here but i dont like the idea of shipping fish over long distances.
so il just give them away free on IAA website (iowa aquaria assosiation) since thats where i live.

Beautiful fish, but, I really can't say you should have bred them. Perhaps you should have found a reliable place to sell them BEFORE breeding them?

sounds like you will be busy...very busy....afishdude!

put up some pics when you can....it would be interesting to see all that fry!

well i have homes for about half of them. i was expecting 50 max. not over 100. dont worry tho. il find good homes for them. NOT taking them to lfs.
