I have just bought some external sticker discs for telling the temperature inside the tank, because I was getting fed up of the internal ones losing their suction, basically.

I've put the discs on the opposite side of the heater. Are the very accurate readers or would anyone swear by internal for accuracy?

They are very inaccurate because the temperature outside of the tank effects them. Get a digital thermometer, that's what I use and I found mine for like 5 American dollars.

i also use the digital, it says it exactly, like for example my tank is at 80.7 right now.

I use the stick on external ones. They are not 100% accurate but its fairly easy to tell it is too hot or too cold.

I've used both, and by far prefer the internal. I have a digital thermometer on all of my tanks.

My brother bought me a digital one for my birthday and I've been impressed with it :) I can set high and low alarms on it and a few other things :)

i have both, and prefer the internal, its not a dogotal but still good, if i remember right they float so u could just try pinning it by your filter wire or something then you dont have to worry about the suckers

xXx

I have a strip and internal...both read about the same. I do like having two however in case one decides to start acting funny...
