I went down to my fish room do to a water change on the five tanks that I have down there and found the weirdest thing in my water change bucket. I went to grab my water syphon from the bucket and saw something flopping around in the puddle on the bottom of the bucket. I looked closer and realized that it was one of my female mosquito fish from a tank that is more than 10 feet away from where the bucket was sitting on the floor! How weird!!! :S

You probably syphoned her up earlier - lucky you found her!

I had that with feeder minutes, I have a big flood drain in a closet in my room, and I throw all the fish bags in there often, so I had to clean them up, and in on of the bags was one of 6 feeder minnows, it had been sitting on the floor for 2 days  I scooped him up and qaurntined him for a day, then he got eated by my Coen river rainbowfish.

I don't do water changes with that bucket for the tank that they were in though! I have a bucket for the fish down in the basement and then one for the fish upstairs and I had just gotten a Python water change system for upstairs so I brought the extra bucket to use downstairs also. So the fish either jumped into the bucket immediately or was flopping on the counter and fell into the bucket. Either way its one really really lucky fish!
