The Uncatchables! I Finally Caught Them!

So today I was in a bad mood (talk of wrong colour strain apisto's) and decided enough was enough, the uncatchables had to be caught.

Uncatchable no.1 - Yellow male guppy. He'd started to fin nip, and had damaged my male agassizi, and one of my baby panda's is now missing half a tail because of him. He had to go, full stop.

Uncatchable no.2 - A rummy nose tetra. Not doing anything wrong, just wasn't supposed to be in my tank.

So, here was my lovely (if I say so myself) tank before I started the catch attempt.

And what was left after I finally managed to catch them (had to catch the rummy nose by HAND, so have added some stress coat and hope his slime coat isn't damaged badly)





Oh well.. I shall remake it, I have the technology, I can rebuild it!! -kudos to anyone who gets that-

Hahaha! Very common sight! Once you have decoration in your tank it becomes much harder to catch anything...

Got no beer or curry *very sad panda*

Only got shepherds pie and coca cola.

And the betta can be seen in the lower tank below my trashed main tank. Set up the quarantine tank yesterday, stuffed some mature filter media into it, and will just water change every day for the next week or so. She's in there with a healthy dose of stress coat until her fins heal up, then she's going home.

Isn`t it disheartening when that happens??

I had the same when trying to catch an SAE, literally days after upgrading to the 360L (which was looking great I might add) the SAE had to be caught due to him nipping tails......everything ended up coming out of the tank except the sand and water. It drove me bloody mad

Looks like it's been a bad week for catching fish

And I think I've managed to rebuild the tank looking better than ever..I think. So not so bad.

And i agree Elise, it drove me mad too.

I cant believe thats the same tank, looks like you had a bomb go off inside your tank

the best thing is you can rescape now, I like rescaping now and again.

I have a few mollies and some tetras I want to get out of my tank.
Not sure how I am going to catch them though......

+1 for SAE's being hard to catch, I havent been able to catch mine since I added them.
But at least they are well-behaved fishies

Same way I had to probably.. empty the tank and get someone else to shoo them toward you.

Sad Panda is South Park!

PS: i always have a nightmare trying to get any of my livestock out of my tank, too heavily planted!

Sorry RK but it made me giggle when i saw the pictures. I could imagine the Benny Hill scene inside the tank . I don't know why it made me giggle though. I've got a BN pleco in my tank now and i'm thinking about changing from marine coral to black substrate. That should be fun
