i have just set up my biorb life 60.i know they have a lot of haters but if stocked and maintained right they can be just as good as any other tank.well here is a pic of my setup atm.i am waiting to add some white pebbles then it will be complete.please be nice in your comments lol

Maybe more substrate and some live plants? What are you thinking of stocking? I have a lot of trouble coming up with anything which will fit..

i have 3 bags of ceramic media in there which is more than enough.i dont like live plants and prefer fake.once cycled i plan to have

5 neon tetras
&
5 male fancy guppys

I think it looks pretty good actually. I do prefer a long tank but these are nice to look at too.

It's a bit like the Fluval Edge in terms of it being a nice design but a bit awkward to stock. So what's going in there?

I like it! And the artificial plants are certainly easier to care for. I think your stocking plan is just right.

thanks Jamepsss.im not to keen on the fluval edge tbh.i prefer the biorb life to the original round biorb or the biube as it doesnt distort the fish in any way.there is more surface area and i think its the best tank out of the range of thanks the have.i have many friends who have them and think they are great too.i would not suggest following reefones guidelines tho personally.

i dont want fancy expensive fish it there ijust want some small easy to keep colourful fish.im not going to over stock it.i think its always best to under stock a tank personally


just to let you all know i got this tank at a bargain of £201.49 plus free postage from pond superstores.they are and online store in kent and sell the cheapest biorbs than anywhere else.

there's a fake plant 'arch' I saw on the net yesterday(will search out link) which wuld work very well in that tank!!

I'm tempted to go back to fake plants when I redo my main tank at home (in a couple of years), agian, for the low low maintainance!

I started with fake plants, then moved to live plants, and then moved mostly back to fake after my low tank lighting could not support live plants very well. I found some nice silk plants that look good and are easy to clean.

yeah biorb do a nice silk plant range too.im thinking of getting some in the future.

just a quick question guys once the tank has cycled what fish should i add first the neons or guppys as i thought it would be best to add the neons just thought id check first.
