I love rays.... they are ultra cool..... :good:

I thought they needed a sandy substrate, though..... never had one myself, but that's what I might have read or heard before.... what's the real scoop?

I believe there a peruvian motoro pair but the first fish in the pics above has raised some doubts oh well I like them both anyways even if one is constantly buried in the gravel refusing to come out. Here is a couple of pics of the one that does come out. And a tank shot.

the burying wont last long some rays settle quicker than others
how active is the ray that is out and about?they were really active at the shop really good to watch :good:
i recommend loads of eathworms to bulk them up you can order them by the bucket load on the interne
they are a sexed pair the female is the bigger of the two

Neither of them is active both are buried I threw some muscle in to the tank and neither of them moved so I went out when I came back both rays have moved a bit and the muscle has gone but do not know who ate it im quiet worried.

nothing to worry about this is what rays do at first both mine did it
my male did it for ages whenever he saw me he would go under the sand
they need to get used to you and the new surroundings,if they are eating when you are not there thats good :good:
