I've recently changed a lot of the plants in the back, so they're not very tall yet. However, you can see how the foreground and midgrounds are growing in nicely.

Well, the 20g has officially become my crystal red shrimp nursery . . . meaning this tank can get fish!! :D

I added a pair of scarlet badis-- I'll get some photos asap.

I was thinking of adding a trio of beckford's pencil fish and/or a school of ember tetras . . .

Looking very nice mate. Should look fantastic once they get more established. What's that in the foregorund, looks a bit like Glossostigma?

I'd go for a big shoal of Embers personally, with a few shrimp and otos to keep algae in check.

Good luck.

Yeah, the foreground is glosso . . . and elatine triandra, though the glosso is kind of running it over . . .

I'm liking the ember tetra idea dude. I'd like to have a school of something more plain-looking, like Rasbora dorsiocellata-macrophthalma; same size as the embers, but they are simply grey colored with a black spot on the dorsal. Can't find them at a reasonable price though, so embers are looking like the way I'm going . . . don't get me wrong, I love the embers bright gold color, but I also just really like the whole "health is more important that color" thing.

I have a trio of ottos in there, and LOTS of shrimp (the one I think is the sri lanka algae eating shrimp).

I understand where you're coming from with the plainer looking fish. That will bring out the beauty in the plants even furthur.

I'm off to my LFS this week to trade in my Angels for a big shoal of Cardinals and possibly some more Rummynoses. I'm intending on having a total of approx 25 Cardinals and 10 Rummynose. I was tempted to trade my existing 7 Rummynose too but I'd never catch them!! One day I'll just have about 50 Cardinals and some shrimp and otos. One day.

BTW What light you got, Glosso needs loads I understand?

thanks sharky :)

gf225-- This is a 7g acrylic cube, and I have 35 watts of pc lighting. The wpg rule doesn't apply to small tanks like this, but I figured my lighting would definitely adaquate-- and the glosso shows it. The elatine is growing too, but it just cannot compete with the glosso, which grows rabidly fast.

So, you're finally getting your tetras hm? Good for you. :D If you need a boring colored fish, I'd include a trio of silver hatchets or black neons . . . Those cardinals are going to be gorgeous.

Thanks guys!

canarsie-- yeah, you may be right, but I'm actually looking forward to some fish.

Today the LFs said that they're bringing in rasbora maculata this wednesday! ooh . . . can't resist, so I'm going to get a school of 4-7 of those. :)

did the light fixture come with the tank? i have been looking for a small fixture like that.
where did you get the tank?
why doesnt wpg apply to small tanks?
