Hey all, just purchased a 240ltr tank that's currently 4 days into its cycle.
Not had a tank for a good few years so i can't wait to eventually get a few fish in there and get back into it ?
I think the main fish I want is the red tail black shark but unsure what tank mates to add down the line or what will work with the red tail., but that's why this forum is here ?

Welcome to the forum , with a redtail shark I’d have a school of tiger barbs I think

Thanks for the reply. I do like tiger barbs I had then in my old tank. Someone mentioned yoyo loach to me, but I have read they will not get on with the yoyo being a bottom dweller and the red tail being so territorial.

I’m not not sure about the yoyo but I’m sure you could make a lot of fish work gourami , probably any tetra , maybe even an angel fish

Welcome to the forum.

@Colin_T as some good write ups to help new fish keepers.

If you are inexperienced in fish keeping than please for your fishy pets sake take your time and read and prepare before adding your new pets. Last thing you want is to be in a big hurry to get your new pets only to watch them die.

Thank I will look at his writes ups.
Yeh I know about the cycling process before I add fish and I usually research if I have an idea of fish, what they are OK and not OK with
