The new female betta

This one is DARN hard to take pics of!! I had to take out her decorations in order to get some decent shots. Grr... she either hides or swims too fast. Not a team player. Anyways, here are a couple ok shots, let me know what you guys think. I'm kind of excited about her color, I really do think the fins are black.

My female like that just died from a horrid fungal infection.

She looked just like that. She is pretty.

She is beautiful...she looks kind of like my female except I think mine is less black and more blue but it is hard to tell because she is so young... Anyhow she is a gorgeous betta...

wow very unique looking..are those stripes from her being stressed..or just a natural coloring? id like to see her when she is settled in more..good find. I only spotted females at my walmart once and thats where i got mine,my walmart is good with their bettas as well.

Very beautiful! I've never seen a "zebra" betta before, in fact I've never seen female betta for more than 3 times around my lfs before!

I'm not yet sure if the stripes will become less obvious after she is with me for longer, we'll see. I'll let you all know. I have had her for a few days now though, and she still looks the same and seems happy too... so hopefully she'll stay so unique looking!!

At LFS in england those are the only type of females we can get. the stripes should go away and become vertical when shes interested in a male. They are there most of the time though. female Bettas can colour change like chamelons its amazing. Her fins will probably alos get a blue sheen to them, it looks so cool

As DrOizo says, Wait till she atrats changing colors like a chameleon, it is really cool to watch.
