Trod just been to have a look at the sand you are talking about - be aware that the sand looks like it has been out of the tank so is no longer live and man, will there be die off email him to check where he is keeping it

I have also bought a Deltic MCE600 skimmer, which should be delivered Tuesday or Wednesday, I got a real bargain, only paid £75 for it and its only a few months old

good choice which skimmer trod, it will be a lot less hassle for you and there a really really good skimmer

Ok not a happy bunny, LR suppliers just rung me, they have messed up the order, and can't deliver tomorrow, so, as I am on holiday next week I have to wait till I get back now. delivery now 27th. Ho hum joy of marine

The chump that I bought the deltic MCE600 skimmer from has turned out to be a A######e, he has taken the money and not sent the skimmer, (if he ever had it ) I have had to start a dispute to try to get my money back from Paypal, I bought it from the dirt bag after seeing his advert on Aquarist Free Classifieds Ads. Lesson learned the hard way No way will I ever buy from this site again, I am just to trusting

So I am on the look out for another one
Not a good week really

Any way I am off on my Holidays now.

Aw! So sorry to hear that you've been ripped off Trod. There's nothing worse than dis-honesty. I too would be baying for blood. I could never do that to someone, my conscience just wouldn't allow it.
I suppose you'll just have to take the hit and move forward.
Have a nice time on holiday (anywhere nice) relax and enjoy, but we all know your mind will be thinking of things to do at home

thats awful news.
i use aquarists classfieds all the time and touch wood have never had a problem.
there are always gonna be people that will abuse the system i guess.

thankfully by using paypal you should be covered i think!

i know exactly how you feel it happened to me 5 weeks ago i bought 2x tunze 6055,s and a tunze 7095. on aquarists classifieds form a guy in Claxton on sea essex the item never turned up I had no reply to emails ect and to top it off paypal could not refund as there was no money in the guys account for them to retrieve. Which I was not happy about as I thought I was insured with paypal up to £500 but apparently in this case I was not . I asked paypal to pass on the guys details so I could pass on to the police and they would not send them as It is a breach of confidentiality .
I seriously think that some think should be done by paypal to help stop this type of thing from going on as it is just too easy for these thieves to hide behind confidentiality laws ect and I am sure that if the sellers details name and address {which are registered to the card the seller is using} were passed on to the buyer when payment was made or when a dispute was opened that it would put a lot of these thieves off from ripping people off Rant over

It's not going well for Trod this week, as you know she ws supposed to be off to Spain today, but she didn't go! Will leave her to explain why she has gone off to Cornwell instead (I actually think Cornwell is a better choice anyway)
