Bad news on the lion Trod...don't let this put you off these beautiful fish but...would deffo find a new lfs to source your stock but. If adding another lion soon you should be ok with the shrimp meantime .

well i know how you feel sort of as i had to take my fuzzy's back to my trusted lfs on tuesday
as they where inhibiting me getting the smaller fish i want like putting my manderin in my 100 gallon

Ok. I have been having a major re think about my tank. I am almost certain, that I am now going to go down a differant route.
I am going to put the Lion fish on hold, and am going for a full reef set up, with more fish.

2 wont be enough trod, think your tank is 2' deep isnt it? what do you want to keep?

thats what im doing with i think the same tank (mines a rio 400)
and im running
two 55 watt four foot t5s
and 3 40 watt 42 inch t8s
and seems to be good

I'm currently running 2 x t5 juwel highlights with reflectors but plan to add some of the new leds in the future, but for now the lighting is fine as I do not have anything which requires massive amounts of light

the white is 15000 k

and the blue is 20000 k

Really does depend on what your plans are?
