So i have heard that this gizmo has finally hit the shelf of a few shops.

For fish keeping, the most important thing is steady, constant conditions. Everybody always talks about the down side to adjusting your PH etc artificially as it can stress the fish more than having the wrong PH does. So i can see the potential in this system from the point of view that it monitors your tank, rather than just taking a snap shot.
With my high tech set up, i am trying to get my CO2 etc working well, but i feel my parameters may not be as constant as i'd like. This would tell me exactly what was happening!
It is still somewhat unclear exactly what you get, but i THINK for £60 you get a device which sits in your tank and records a number of parameters. You can then hook it up to your PC and download the graphs etc. Cool! But you need to buy a £10 power socket thing, and then a £10 extension cable etc (i dare say these are standard and ebay could help!) to have it working independently.
There is then a further gizmo which has not reached the shops yet, which allows you to access this information wirelessly and it will even send you text messages if something goes out with your pre-set criteria! You can access the system on your iphone and look at trends etc. Price and availability unknown as of yet.
Further to that you can pay £5 a month and the company will give you advice about your readings.... somewhat unnecessary to the experienced i guess.
