Well, unfortunately, rams and kribs won't work in your tank with the cories. You could do rams or kribs, but when it came time for spawning and protecting the fry, the rams and kribs will most likely be way too protective of the spawning site and will make short work of the curious cories. I have a 46 gallon tank with a pair of kribs who have decimated my cory population - either through outright picking on them or by not letting them get near the food

Hmmm.... suppose. Thing is though, I prefer rams/kribs/cockatoos to gouramis. Unless I could get a larger type, but I doubt it.

I wouldn't recommend ANY of the dwarf cichlids for a 15g tank if you're going to keep cories in there too.
