So, I finally got some pics of my blue mask black PK from Thailand. I got him a new figure to put into his Eclipse Hex 5 and moved in a bit of sunset hygro. In the tank, there is 2 small pieces of driftwood, black gravel, a Java moss wall that I finally made for the tank today, one spixi snail, heater, glass thermometer, and black background. While I was looking for a few things at the LPS, I got to thinking about a name for him: The Creature. I think it fits him because his tank is so dark (similar to a lagoon?), and he's a rather large PK (around 3 inches, which has me thinking he's part giant), and he's pure evil! LOL This tank (like all of mine) is a constant work in progress, and I am hoping to get some more plants in there and can't wait for the moss wall to grow. I may take out the spixi, because I think it's a plant eating snail. We'll see.

Here is The Creature while he was still in Thailand:

wow, he seems to be quite the spoiled boy!
What a beauty, congrats. And his name certainly suits him well.

I love him, are you going to breed him or is he just a pet?

Thank you everyone! For now, he is a pet, but I'd like to breed him, but I have alot of major happenings coming up soon--one of them being moving into a new apartment, so we'll see what happens. He's just about old enough to breed, and I think I have 2 females that will work well with him.

Beautiful boy!

Spixis are plant eaters, but from what I understand they're not completely destructive as some species.

Im not sure but that's almost a Melano betta!! id love a melano halfmoon, now they are BEAUTIFUL but so is your PK
