yes a 12 gallon deluxe nano...i was wondering hoow i could upgrade the lights i have heard of these sunpod things , and those nano halide things but to buy a halide lamp on its own is cheaper, but how would i fit that into the hood of my tank...and what ballast would i need?!?...

If you want to keep your hood, you won't be able to use a Halide. Not enough room. I'd reccomend a "quad" PC fixture that's 96watt and 18" long. That might fit...
