Yesterday I had hundreds of newborn fry and today I don't see any and Ace is swimming around the tank, once in awhile he'll stick his little nose up in the nest but then swim away. Do you think he might have eaten the babies or have they just decided to stop falling out of the nest?

He could have eaten them... if you had a hundred before, and could see them. And you can't see any now? did you search al levels/areas? Has he had a bowel movement? Does he look fat?

I would take the male out now. This happened with one of mine, and after I removed the male I started feeding babies. Two days after I removed him I discovered there were 6 who had survived him, y hiding in the plants.

Don't be too discouraged, alot of times the males don;t do so hot the first few times - but with really good conditioning they can go on to be great dada's.
