I just wanted to say a really BIG thank you! This forum has been invaluable to me. I filled up and started my tank yesterday, doing a fishless cycle. I still have a few questions (like what will happen to the millions of tiny bubbles that have formed?) but I'm sure that, if I search, this forum will answer them. I really do appreciate the free but accurate and helpful advice and I hope that one day, I will be able to pass on what I've learned to others. My husband isn't really interested in my new hobby but because of this forum he has been impressed with the confidence I've had to get the tank up and running and even being able to explain cycling to him! (I think he is starting to get hooked too!!). I did feel, at first, that I would need a degree in chemistry to be able to understand it all but because of the simple and accurate advice I have been able to master it - sort of. I'm working on it anyway!

So thanks very much once again for answering my questions, for excellent and informative links and for the time given.

Im a newb at this but its one question I can answer, when you start up a tank you get lots of tiny bubbles everywhere, on your tank, heater, filter, tubing etc. It goes away after a few days

yes those air bubbles do go in a matter of days.

Good luck with the fishless cycle and stick with it....don't be impatient

Hi, welcome and good luck with new tank.

I've only just set my tank up and I agree with previous comments. Mine was covered with small bubbles but they soon disapeared.
