Hi to all from Christchurch, New Zealand. Just wanting to say thank you for the help. I spent hours on here learning about fishless cycling, stocking etc. and have had a fab time setting up my little (10 gallon) tank. Much appreciated.

Hello again : ) love the friendly replies! I have 6 dwarf rasboras and a betta in there. Am absolutely in love with the whole fish thing. I didn't realize fish played! Don't know if it's just my gorgeous boy or are betta fish not too bright relative to other fish?

It's always seemed to me that my bettas have been quite intelligent, they will come and greet me, always interested in what's happening on the dry side of the glass.

That got me thinking - watched him for a while then worked out current in Aqua One 10g still too strong for him. Puzzled out a way to slow it down and he's much calmer.
